(He/Him/His)
> Hi, I’m Nate. I’m here with you.
Someone I worked with in 2019 said on their last day of employment, “I’ve loved our talks. They’ve been like therapy.” That one comment sparked a reimagining of what my future might look like during one of the darkest times of my life. I love helping people through tough spots – whether that’s trauma, anxiety, relationship struggles, or family tension. I also work with folks who have experienced religious trauma and those exploring issues related to gender and sexuality.
Working with me will feel like real human partnership. I’m not the one with all the answers, but I am committed to being with you as you navigate life’s complexities toward healing and more fulfilling relationships. Everyone deserves hope and a chance to heal, no matter their background or identity. Drawing from my roots as a systemic, attachment-focused therapist, we can work together to help you find some of that hope, some of that healing.
I’m a dad, and I love to cook even though my kids usually don’t want to eat what I want to cook. I’m never happier than when standing on the beach of the Oregon Coast or hosting dear friends for dinner. I served as a pastor for more than a decade after getting my Bachelor’s degree from a tiny college in Ohio, but I left that life behind and found myself drawn to sit in a therapist’s chair. Through my Master’s program in Marriage and Family Therapy at Whitworth University, I discovered that I really love this work. It’s hard, and it’s good, and I’m so honored to be with you in it.
